Argos Fall Short Against the Sea Lions
September 23- The Argos fell just a little short today at Skyline College as they hosted Point Loma Nazarene and were defeated 2-1. NDNU shut the Sea Lions out in the first half and scored their own lone goal in the 40th minute. Dorian Virrueta scored the only goal for NDNU and was assisted by Austen Ezzell. The game did not produce a lot of shots as the Sea Lions outshot NDNU 6-3 for the contest. PLNU scored their goals in the 73rd and 80th minutes. Adam Sonney knocked one in off of a Marcos Gonzalez assist to tie the game. Chad Vargo scored the eventual game winner for PLNU, unassisted. NDNU drops to 5-3-1 on the season and hosts Masters College tomorrow at Skyline at 11am.
