Gators Prove Too Much
September 2- NDNU outshot San Francisco State but the Gators made the most of their opportunities enroute to a 3-0 win over the Argos at the Bank of the West Classic at Chico State. NDNU and SF State were knotted up at 8 shots apiece in the first half but SF State was able to knock 2 goals in the back of the net. Brett Boysen scored both Gator goals in the first half to give SF State the early advantage. The Argos stormed back in the second half and had their chances but could not capitalize as they outshot the Gators 9 to 3. In all, SF State had more shots on goal (7) then did NDNU (5). The Gators scored their final goal in the 80th minute off of a Paul Carter penalty kick. NDNU will next face Chico State on Sunday night at 8pm.
